About Me

Gender: Female
Home Country: United Kingdom
Hometown: Brighton
About Me: I have only recently returned from Nepal, and I can safely say that I have fallen in love with it.

India is one of my favourite places in the world - the more chaotic the better as far as I'm concerned - and I guess I believed that Nepal would be somewhat similar. I was totally wrong. Nepal is far more laid back. The people are far more relaxed, and they really know how to throw a good party (even when they have to trek up a mountain the next day).

As for the landscape - well - it's pretty unbeatable. The skies are so blue and every colour seems more vivid against the backdrop of the mountains. When you're trekking, you can suddenly turn a corner to be confronted by an almighty white peak. There's really nothing like it.
For me, the highlight of the trip was sunrise at Poon Hill. It was incredible, and not just because of the once-in-a-lifetime view. The sense of achievement that I felt was amazing - knowing that my own two (very small) feet had carried me all the way up there. Magic.

I'm already itching to go back to Nepal, and I've only been home for a couple of months! Get out your walking boots and go - I promise that you wont regret it!
